“Taunya Serrano has been an amazing friend during my life journey. She has a unique skill of being in tune to others needs and is open to listening and aiding in their development. I remember having a phone call with Taunya, and I was relaying the experience of expansion. You know those moments when everything is clicking and you feel everything is almost too good to be true. I had a sense that this climbing sensation of freedom was on a timer that would run out. Taunya had already assisted my growth in many ways so her’s was a trusted voice in my circle of influence.I can vividly remember her words of enlightenment on that afternoon. She told me to dance and remain fully present and to know that this experience was not reducible by time. ENJOY THIS state of mind and STATE of being and know that it is possible to live throughout your day to day circumstances.
Taunya helped me during low points reminding me of “who I am” and offering centering practices and affirmations, but I remember this teachable moment because of its uniqueness. It is one thing, to be raised up from crushing defeats. It is another to be pushed beyond the bounds of possibility when you think you’re at your best. It was like experiencing one of the greatest feelings and having that still small voice remind you, “yes this is good”, but there is so much more to come and is here right now.
